Our Story (The Reader's Digest Version) 06/26/2008
Once upon a time in the sweltering desert of Arizona lived a nice, young school teacher - that would be me. I was going about my business when a friend introduced me to Sam. After much coercion, some of his college friends and their buddies in the accounting world convinced him to move from California to the lovely, cactus-infested land of Arizona. One of those friends thought my roommates and I should invite him to a little birthday party and get to know him, since he was new in town. After meeting him, I was so impressed that I didn't hesitate long in trying to set him up with one of my close friends. She is quite a catch, and I was sure things would work out nicely for them. Well, I'm sure they had a great time, but while I was busy with other uh...interests...I noticed that Sam was spending a lot of time at my apartment. For awhile I was sure he had a little crush on my roommate. CommentsRobin Ball Sat, 28 Jun 2008 18:21:58 Oh my goodness, what a cute story and Congratulations! I am so glad that Sam has someone to spend forever in "SamboLand" with. Looking forward to seeing you, Sam and meeting you, Heather at your reception! Chelsea Wed, 02 Jul 2008 15:11:03 Sambo and Heather sitting in a cactus, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First came like, then came time, now comes LOVE, the best of its kind! Wed, 02 Jul 2008 21:29:01 Yo, nice site. I wanna know why I had to hear about it on the streets. Are you hiding something? Come on, you can tell me. After all, Sam slept three feet above me for 2 years. I used to tell him all about the chairs that were coming to get us. Susan Thu, 03 Jul 2008 12:07:10 Don'f forget to add pictures to your blog. We want to see what is happening. Felicidades de Puerto Rico! Roy Tue, 08 Jul 2008 14:19:05 I haven’t of or about Sam in ten years or so, so hopefully his habit of joy riding in other peoples 4x4s bouncing around in the mud, nearly rolling down hills and such was something he grew out of. Hopefully you all make loads of money (he must be loaded based on the dapper scarf in the pic) and live great happy lives with one another. Thu, 10 Jul 2008 11:07:41 Congrats! I was laughing out loud when I read the comment from Roy, only because it was my 4x4 that was rolling down the hill. I look forward to seeing you at the reception! Your Mom :-) Wed, 16 Jul 2008 07:04:25 Well ...Sam and Heather, I couldn't be happier for you both. I have great respect for you and I am grateful that you both met. You have great gifts and talents that you will be able to share with yourselves and others. May you have many great days, months and years ahead of you. And may you find joy and happiness in the little everyday experiences of life. Life has its ups and downs and you have the choice of making the best of the whole package. Dearest Heather, welcome to the Blackham family. We admire you and are so happy to call you family. Love, Mother Blackham :-) Cori Sat, 19 Jul 2008 07:18:41 Can't believe the time is finally here. I'm sitting at home (in Arkansas) thinking about you, Heather, and I've never even met you. You're probably getting your hair done right now. I await the day I get to meet you. Sam - you and Marc got me through many rough days with your humor. I will always be greatful for your friendship. Congrats you two....hope this day is wonderful!!!!
