Registry.... To be, or not be?
Not being the typical young newlyweds, (ok, Heather is young; Sam is ancient!) we debated creating a wedding registry. At one point we decided against it all together. In order to help us understand more about this tradition, and after receiving numerous questions about what we might need for our home and where we are registered, we decided to do some research.
Did you know that traditional American etiquette states that wedding gifts are purely optional? Did you know that there are multiple types of wedding registries including travel registries, bridal registries, groom registries, and even (crazy as it may sound) registries for a new couple's pets? That all seems a bit wierd. We mulled over this newfound fountain of information, aptly provided by Wikipedia - the source for all things true (though Heather would disagree). We have decided to make a list of possible places a couple, like us, might register.
In order to assist those who feel inclined, we considered the following:
The outlet mall in Park City A Maui Resort Pita Jungle
Disneyland The Canyon's Ski Resort Extreme Home Makeover
Saguaro Lake Bola Thai Las Vegas Venetian
Fresh and Easy Famous Footwear The Mesa Cannery
These all remind us of the great times we have had over the past three years. We have been blessed to share many good times with each other and are looking forward to building many more memories. We both feel so grateful for the supportive friends and families with whom we will be able to continue building memories.
And yes, we did end up registering, in the event you truly wanted to know. Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Target were the lucky winners.
